FOUR CONCURRENT TRAINING SESSIONS:
ON AUGUST 21, 2003
  1. 8-Hour Hazwopper: This 8-hour refresher course is designed to meet requirements under OSHA 1910-120 regarding emergency response and hazardous material handling.
  2. CAMEO fm: This system of software applications is used to plan for and respond to chemical emergencies.
  3. Grant Writing: Find out the strategies necessary to prepare successful grant applications for your organization.
  4. TransCAER Transportation Emergency Response: There will be two 4-hour sessions that will offer practical training in the handling of commodities and use of safety equipment, and demonstrations of emergency response procedures.
SIX CONCURRRENT TECHNICAL SESSIONS
Track 1: The Basics of LEPCs
Also known as LEPC 101, this track will provide an overview of the basic ingredients needed to establish a successful LEPC and how to keep it active. This track will cover issues such as overview of LEPC requirements, dealing with the public, and case studies of actual releases.

Track 2: Transportation and Industry
This track will provide emergency planners and responders a forum where response and safety issues regarding all modes of transportation will be presented and discussed.

Track 3: Homeland Security
This track will investigate what you can do to develop and enhance your capabilities to prepare for and respond to acts of terrorism.

Track 4: Health & Medical
This track will cover metropolitan medical response systems, critical incident stress management, jurisdictional issues of quarantine and evacuation, and national pharmaceutical stockpiles.

Track 5: Federal/State Response
This track will feature presentations of federal and state agencies and resources available to local communities during emergency responses/disasters.

Track 6: Training
This track will provide three separate topics: awareness of weapons of mass destruction; meth lab awareness; and incident response to terrorist bombings.
